An important acknowledgment to winegrowers of the Agrigento area, arrives this year from the Angelo Radica Association, which he has chosen menfi like Italian city of wine: here, during 2023 it will also be possible to participate in the International Wine Competition.

Finally, we come to the last century, when in the XNUMXs the Menfi area marked the great contemporary triumph of local winemakers.

In fact, the village has a very ancient history, which begins in the Middle Ages and consolidates in the seventeenth century, leaving its traces among the churches and historic buildings in the centre.

By organizing a holiday in Menfi, you will therefore also be able to discover attractions and monuments that will surprise you: we start from Piazza Vittorio Emanuelein the southern part of the country. You arrive here from via Garibaldi, both to admire the square and to visit the Malacological Museum, where many specimens of local shells are exhibited.

Another attraction of the town is its spiritual heritage which can be admired in the various churches of the village: the Mother Church entitled to Saint Anthony of Padua, was completely rebuilt after an earthquake in 1968 and is located in via Giacomo Matteotti, right next to the Museum.

How to get to Menfi

Menfi, in the Free Municipal Consortium of Agrigento, can be reached easily in the car, from the exit for Castelvetrano on the A29 Palermo-Mazara del Vallo, about 15 km from the town. Also on the train, getting to Menfi isn't difficult, getting off at Castelvetrano station and then taking the bus or shuttle.
