On the coast of Agrigento there is the hamlet of Siculiana Marina which guarantees a holiday proposal particularly suitable for those who want to spend relaxing days by the sea. However, it is a coast that alternates sandy beaches with jagged cliffs, guaranteeing a beautiful view thanks to a landscape to be savoured, especially at sunset and sunrise.

Even in this territory which is apparently only dedicated to sea lovers, there are cultural proposals to be seized on the fly such as the Coastal Tower of Monterosso. It is a characteristic architectural construction developed on a square plan and which stands imperious on the promontory with clear defensive tasks. Equally beautiful and evocative is the Salsa Tower which instead is a structure positioned on a small clay promontory with the intention of offering a perfect panoramic point for identifying the dangers that arrived from the sea, already several kilometers away from the coast.

In this area there are also unmissable offers for nature lovers such as the opportunity to visit the Torre Salsa Oriented Nature Reserve which, by territorial extension, goes from Siculiana Marina up to Eraclea Minoa. This is a protected area due to its natural beauty and includes a total of about 6 km of pristine coastline with beaches alternating with dunes. The Torre Salsa nature reserve is also appreciated because it is among the most interesting areas of Sicily in terms of the importance of its flora and fauna.

How to reach Siculiana

To reach Siculiana coming from Agrigento it is possible to take the state road 115 for a total of 19 kilometers which requires 21 minutes of travel. If instead you start from Palermo, the kilometers are 140 for a 110-minute journey through the state road 624 and the state road 115.
