The municipality of Vicari is located in the metropolitan city of Palermo has just over 2000 inhabitants and rises to 640 meters above sea level.

The month of August is dedicated to one of the most delicious events of the year, namely the Almond Festival. In fact, in the Vicari area, more than 10 varieties of almonds are grown which will all be available at the food stands of the festival together with sweets and typical local dishes.
How to get around in Vicari
In Vicari we don't find many means of public transport, even if there are some buses. In our opinion, the ideal is to move with your own means of transport (car, motorbike, bicycle, etc.). You can always decide to visit the center on foot, to discover the streets of the village, but also the squares and churches. By doing so you also have the opportunity to taste all the typical dishes of the village directly from the producers in the area and in the inns located in the centre.

Who arrives in the car, can turn at the Termini Imerese exit of the A19 Palermo-Catania, about 19 km from the town, while those arriving on the train, you can get off at Trabia station, about 20 km from the centre, continuing your journey by bus or shuttle.
