The Museums of Ucria, a town in the province of Messina, known as the city of museums, offers four museums that tell the story, traditions, uses and customs of the island.

Ucria is a small town of 900 inhabitants located within the Nebrodi Park, in the province of Messina.

Things to do in Ucria
Starting from historic center of Ukria, you will admire the beautiful Church of Saints Peter the Apostle, as well as mother church of the village. A Renaissance-style structure erected in the seventeenth century.
Inside is kept the statue of the Signore della Pietà, patron saint of the locality, to which every year, exactly on September 14th, the Feast of the Most Holy Christ.
Not far from the Mother Church you can visit the ruins of the Church of Santa Maria della Scala, built in the sixteenth century, is most likely one of the oldest sacred buildings in the country.
How to get around in Ukria
The small size of the municipality of Ucria are one of its strengths, as they will allow you to visit the whole city in a few hours even with one walk, thanks also to the position of its main points of interest, all close to each other.
To better enjoy the territory you can always consider moving with a means of transport, so as to move in total autonomy even between the neighboring municipalities, where you can find other villages to be discovered.
How to get to Ucria
Who wants to reach the village of Ucria, by car, you can do it by first taking the A20 and then the E90 if coming from Messina or Palermo. On the other hand, those who leave from Catania have options: they can follow the A18 and then the E45 or they can first take the SS120 and then end up on the SS116 to their destination. Finally, visitors coming from Syracuse will have to choose the E45 or the SS284 up to the Ucria exit.
The village does not have its own railway station, so to get there on the train it is necessary to refer to the closest stations which are those of Gioiosa Marea, Piraino or Capo d'Orlando-Naso and from here continue with the bus service premises made available by the AST company.
