Discovering Comiso, the "Theater City"
Comiso is a small town in the province of Ragusa, it is located in the shadow of the Iblei Mountains and has a past as a Roman spa centre.

La city of Comiso is one of the main municipalities of the Free Municipal Consortium of Ragusa. Comiso enjoys an excellent geographical position, which places it at short distances both from the seaside resorts and from the hinterland, where it is possible to admire spectacular landscapes, making Comiso one of the most enchanting places in Sicily.
In the historic center of Comiso there are numerous historic buildings ranging from noble palaces to religious ones, all characterized by particular architectural details that embellish the thriving art present in these monumental places.
What to do in Comiso
In addition to the architectural beauties of the historic center of Comiso, the entire city and its suburbs enjoy numerous enchanting landscapes surrounded by greenery. Starting from the centre, it is possible to admire important religious buildings, such as the Basilica of Maria Santissima Annunziata, from which the annual celebrations of the Feast of Our Lady of Sorrows.

The Sicilian road network favors travel with the rest of Sicily, with the State Road 115 and the Provincial Roads 7, 20 and 91 which connect up to Comiso. Easy to reach both by car than with the regional bus lines, able to offer an excellent service that also allows daily visits with return in the evening, ideal for some trips to discover the Sicilian territory.
