In the municipality of Tortorici, in the province of Messina, there are many locations that are worth visiting, including the ancient Trusso bell foundry.

Tortorici, in northeastern Sicily on the border with Nebrodi Park, is a town populated by about 5.800 people, in the Metropolitan City of Messina.

Things to do in Tortorici
Obviously a visit to the village can only start from Mother Church, inside which the statue of San Sebastiano is kept, Patron saint of the country to which the San Sebastian Festival.
Certainly interesting, then, the Sebastiano Franchina Ethnoanthropological Museum which brings together a complete collection of work tools used over the centuries by local farmers and shepherds.
For nature lovers in the immediate vicinity of Tortorici we find both the Nebrodi Park and the Vallone Calagna Integral Nature Reserve, A 'protected natural area which was established in 2000.
One of the typical local products of the Tortorici countryside and vegetation is nettle. For its enhancement and promotion, the municipality has decided to organize every year, precisely on August 17, the Nettle Festival, where it will be possible to taste recipes based on this vegetable, which grows spontaneously in the valley.
How to get around in Tortorici
Tortorici it is a small village, as such we don't find many means of public transport, although there is some bus numbers.
In any case, it is very easy to move around the municipality on foot, to discover the streets of the village, but also the squares and churches, in our opinion, the ideal is to move with your own means of transport (car, motorbike, bike etc.).
How to get to Tortorici
Tortorici, in the Metropolitan City of Messina, can be reached easily in the car, via the A20 Messina-Buonfornello from the Rocca di Capri Leone exit, or on the train, getting off at Capo d'Orlando Naso station and continuing the journey by bus or shuttle.
