Nicosia is a Sicilian municipality located in the province of Enna and which stands on the slopes of four cliffs which, in turn, house the ruins of the ancient medieval castle.

Nicosia is a municipality in the the province of Enna with its just 13.000 inhabitants, also known as the City of the 24 Barons attributed by noble families present in the area in the 800th century.

Nicosia is a small town in the province of Enna, moving around is very simple.
The town has public car parks where you can leave your vehicle, from there it is possible to visit the town on foot.
How to get to Nicosia
The road to take to get to Nicosia is the A19, both from Palermo and Catania.
However, there are different exits to take as for those coming from Catania the reference one is Agira while those coming from Palermo will have to exit at Ponte Cinque Archi for Villarosa.
There is also an alternative route which is the SS 117 and involves the passage from Santo Stefano di Camastra. For those who prefer the train, however, it should be borne in mind that Nicosia does not have its own station but the closest is that of Leonforte-Pirato from which, then, one must continue with a local bus service to reach the town in the province of Enna.
