Floresta: what to see and discover in a surprising town
Floresta is part of the metropolitan city of Messina and is known because it represents the highest altitude municipality in all of Sicily.

Amazon is a small municipality located about 1300 meters above sea level, classified as the highest town in Sicily.
This charming village seems to have stopped in the nineteenth century, with many structures, from monuments to some houses, which date back to this historical period. How to get around in Floresta
Given the small size of Floresta, it is not necessary to have a vehicle to get around the city, since you can cross the entirety simply by walking.

How to get to Floresta
reach Floresta you need your own transport as it is in a del area Nebrodi Park placed between various mountains. Floresta is crossed by the State Road 116, which connects it with numerous other neighboring municipalities, as well as with the large cities.
Floresta is located about 90 km from both Catania and Messina, being able to take advantage of all their national and international connections. From these localities it is possible to reach Floresta with aauto, which can be easily rented once you arrive in Sicily, or with bus numbers of the Sicilian bus lines that cross the Nebrodi Park to reach its suggestive towns.
