Among the architectural monuments of the city center, Avola also offers ancient monuments such as the Dolmen of Avola and the necropolis located inside the Cavagrande del Cassibile Nature Reserve.

How to move in Avola
The center of Avola extends for about 1 km, which makes it possible to visit the main monuments of the historic center with a simple walk. To reach the more external areas, such as the beach and the nature reserve, the use of the car is recommended. You will find numerous car parks where you can leave your car.
How to get to Avola
Avola is located less than 30 km from Syracuse and is well connected to the various Sicilian municipalities thanks to the regional road network. You can reach Avola easily either by car than with bus numbers of the Sicilian bus lines.
La Avola Railway Station offers connections with other railway stations in eastern Sicily.
If you prefer to travel By plane, Catania Fontanarossa Airport is about 80 km from Avola and is served by the main national and international airlines.
