Reaching Valledolmo during the days of the Festival means discovering all the atmospheres of the village, sacred and profane: in this period, in fact, the Patronal Festival is also celebrated in the village, with all the rites of this occasion. During the festival it will be possible to taste the delicious red fruit and learn about its qualities, also discovering the ancient techniques that were used to prepare typical products such as dried tomatoes or puree.

In addition to tastings, however, there is much more in the village. Valledolmo is located 780 meters above sea level and in the center you will find Piazza Madrice, with the Church of Santa Maria Immacolata, heart of the village; not far away is the Oratory of San Giuseppe, while next to the Palazzo Comunale, I'm there Church of the Holy Souls and College of Mary. In the town, however, there is also no shortage of green spaces and in fact, heading east, just outside the historic centre, you will find yourself near the San Vincenzo Garden.

Between accommodation facilities, clubs, bars and food outlets, taste is never lacking in the town: stay overnight in Valledolmo, to also discover all the flavors of the Sicilian table. Here the baked pasta is prepared with fresh tomatoes and fried meatballs, the peperonata is a vegetarian dish that everyone really likes, while the most typical dessert is of course the cannoli, but you will also have the opportunity to taste the fried sfinci with ricotta cream.

If Valledolmo no longer has any secrets for you, you are ready to explore the nearby villages or go as far as Palermo, which is about 100 km away. Near Valledolmo, you can discover the Archaeological Museum of the Gurfa Caves, the Caltavuturo Castle or other towns such as Sciara e Caccamo.

Finally, the natural beauty of this area includes the peaks of Madonie Park, where you can go hiking and birdwatching. The northern coast of the island is about 50 km from the centre.
