What to do during the festival in Antillo and its surroundings

Precisely to entice tourists to get to know the village of Antillo better, during the days that coincide with the corn festival, the Pro Loco of the territory organizes some guided tours which aim to explain to the participants the beauties of the place.
In each of these there are some fixed stages, such as the Mother Church of Antillo, which is actually the Parish of Santa Maria della Provvidenza, of which the statue that is used for sacred processions is preserved. The structure was built in 1936 but has incorporated some parts of the previous church which was from 1770. Furthermore, the church houses a large wooden crucifix and the statue of Sant'Antonio da Padova which was made entirely in papier-mâché from local artists. Antillo is also known because it hosts the interesting on the municipal territory Agro-Pastoral Museum which collects artifacts and work tools of the shepherds, a typical trade of the inhabitants of the village.

Finally, nature enthusiasts can use Antillo as a starting point for a walk following one of the routes designed to discover the Angrò Valley and its river.

How to get to Antillo

By car:, Antillo can be reached by taking the A18 and then the E45, starting from Messina and Catania.
From Palermo, however, the road to follow is first the A20 and then the E90, the same road that can be taken by those coming from Trapani.
From Syracuse, however, you must take the E45, finally from Enna first the A19 and then the E932.

The village of Antillo does not have its own railway station, so those who wish to reach it on the train must refer to the stations of Alì Terme, Letojanni or Nizza di Sicilia and then from there continue with the lines of bus numbers premises made available by the AST company.
