The house has been renovated but fully respecting the original design of the house: at the end of the works, the Municipality, in collaboration with the University of Palermo, in particular the Museographic Service of the Faculty of Letters and Philosophy, organizes the first exhibition on peasant life, which from temporary becomes a permanent collection. The museum is housed in what was once the home of Onofria Sinagra, a lady who lived within those four walls with her farmer husband and their eleven children of different ages.

Internally, however, the height is divided into two floors, given that the high ceiling has allowed the creation of a mezzanine. All the furnishings are the original ones of the time and it is very striking to see that both people and animals found shelter in the same room, the true wealth of the family. Still visible the kitchen, which is called tanura and which has the double purpose of allowing you to prepare meals but also to heat the interior. Among the objects that can be admired inside, there are a rudimentary pasta machine but also the jars where oil, wheat and drinking water were kept.

For some years Bolognetta no longer has its own railway station, so whoever moves on the train, can refer to those of Altavilla Milicia, Casteldaccia and Ficarazzi: from these localities it will then be possible to reach the village simply by taking one of the local buses made available by the AST company.
