Il Baroque Christmas in Ragusa was born in 2013 and despite being an event that we can define as "young", it has already become a much loved tradition in the city. But it's not just the Ragusans who are waiting for the Baroque Christmas, in fact the initiative of the Municipality of Ragusa it also attracts many tourists. Therefore, every year the Municipality of Ragusa organizes the cultural event, which also involves other villages in the area, from Ibla to Marina di Ragusa, up to Donnafugata.

What to do during the Baroque Christmas in Ragusa

Those who love details, especially in art and architecture, will find wonderful ones in Ragusa, such as those that can be seen from the balconies of Cosentini Palace or on the facade of Zacco Palace, prime example of Rococo in the city. The Circle of Conversation, or Caffè dei Cavalieri, is also a precious example of neoclassical architecture, a tribute to the spirit of the XNUMXth century, where it is still possible to admire the sumptuous Party Hall. Also the Villa of Ragusa, with the Ibleo Garden, is a testimony to the elegant past century, which we advise you not to miss.
Walking through the Old Town, you might come across Porta Vattiri, the last intact gate in the city and built in the seventeenth century, while heading towards the eastern outskirts, you will find the remains of the ancient Byzantine walls.
