How to get to the Isola delle Femmine

The Isola delle Femmine is located on the outskirts of Palermo, in the direction of Trapani, and is about 30 kilometers from the Sicilian capital.

To reach it, the best route by car is that of the A29 motorway (Palermo-Trapani-Mazara del Vallo), exiting at the Capaci junction.
At this point you must enter the State Road 113, which at a certain point contains precise indications to reach the coast.
The area has some car parks, not too far from the beach, where it is advisable to leave the car and continue on foot to the chosen point.

By train, you can use the railway line that leaves from Palermo in the direction of Trapani, getting off at the Isola delle Femmine stop, which requires a journey of about half an hour.
You can also use public buses (line 628), which through the Eufemio seafront, arrive exactly at the beach.

Those who have their own car must remember that access to the beach is not allowed for vehicles, so it is necessary to take advantage of the parking lots in the area, avoiding, as far as possible, peak hours and weekends, when it is more difficult to find place.
