The red-fleshed orange is one of typical products of Palagonia, certainly one of those for which the country is known even outside the borders of the island.

The Municipality of Palagonia, in collaboration with the Department of Sport, Tourism and Entertainment and with the participation of the Pro Loco and the Metropolitan City of Catania, organizes the Orange Fair in the town every year, presenting the best quality oranges to the public local, such as Tarocco, Moro and Sanguinella.

How to get to the Orange Fair in Palagonia

Palagonia, in the Metropolitan City of Catania, is easy to reach both by car and by train.

By car: there are two alternatives, motorway or ring road: from the A19 Palermo-Catania, take the Sferro-Gerbini exit, about 19 km from the centre, while from the Catania ring road, take the exit towards Catania-Zona Industriale Sud, at about 27km.

Who prefers to arrive on the train, getting off at Catania Central Station, you can travel the next 37 km to the center by bus or shuttle.
