San Giuseppe, as we know, is celebrated throughout Italy on March 19th. But the Patriarch of the Catholic Church is also the Patron Saint of Raddusa, a small municipality in the Metropolitan City of Catania: this is why the village of 2.800 inhabitants dedicates another day of celebration to its Patron Saint every year, in September.

The most important moments of this celebration are undoubtedly the solemn Mass in the Church, the tradition of the Altars and the Procession of the faithful through the streets of the town, following the simulacrum of Saint Joseph.

In Raddusa the tradition of Altars it is the community's thanksgiving to the Patron for the graces received, or for the abundance of the harvest. This tradition is perfectly represented by St. Joseph table, a table richly laid by the faithful in honor of Saint Joseph, to whom bread and pasta with legumes must be offered.

On the occasion of the festival, the streets of the town are filled with stands and in the evening the village lights up with the lights of the centre; the following evening, all the faithful follow the fercolo di San Giuseppe through the streets of Raddusa.
