Until 1855 the protector of the town was San Gregorio, then replaced by the cult of San Giuseppe, which was made official with a bishop's decree and celebrated with the construction of the Church of St. Joseph, today Mother Church of the village.

How to get to Nissoria

Nissoria, in the Free Municipal Consortium of Enna, can be easily reached by train and by car.

Who travels on the train, will find buses and shuttles waiting for him at Caltanissetta Central Station (39 km from the town), while those traveling in the car, can take the exit for Dittaino, 9 km from the centre, from the A19 Palermo-Catania.
