Late afternoon also takes place religious procession, called "Calata dell'Angelo", a dialect term to indicate the ascent of the angel, accompanied by musical band, fireworks and the songs of the faithful.

Given the close proximity between Mascalucia and Catania, separated by a road section of less than 10 km, you can easily participate in the Feast of the Patriarch San Giuseppe, also taking advantage of the many connections that accompany you to the Etna capital, which boasts the presence of the Catania Central Railway Station and Catania Fontanarossa Airport.

If you are already in Sicily and prefer to travel by bus, you will find the connections offered by useful Sicilian Transport Company AST, whose runs allow you to get to Mascalucia starting from any other point in Sicily.

You can also get to Mascalucia independently, just cross the Highway 121 or the European Route 45, as well as any other route that can take you to Catania, and then move around with absolute ease.
