La Santissimo Salvatore church in Roccamena and the Mother Church of the tiny town in the Metropolitan City of Palermo. Populated by just over a thousand inhabitants, this village has a history that has its roots between the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries and in fact the Mother Church of the Holy Savior, one of the symbols of Roccamena, was built in 1840, although inside it is possible to admire works from the seventeenth century.

In this Church, on the day of Patronal feast of San Giuseppe, which is celebrated on March 19, tables laden with offers of local products and typical dishes are set up for the faithful who arrive at Mass: the Patronal Feast is still today one of the most important events celebrated in the Parish.

The Church of the Santissimo Salvatore in Roccamena is located in Piazza Papa Giovanni XXIII: from the square, a stairway leads to the small space in front of the entrance. From here it is possible to admire the main facade up close, noting the simplicity of the lines, which welcome the faithful with sobriety.
The main facade is divided into two orders. In the first order we find the entrance to the building, which gives access to the central body, while on the side is the secondary entrance, surmounted by a rose window. The upper order is characterized by a rectangular window surmounted by the dial of the village clock in the main body of the building, while the bell tower rises from the side of the Church, which is located in a slightly recessed position.

Entering the church, you can admire the oldest work kept in the building, a seventeenth-century canvas representing the Madonna del Conforto, while all the other paintings and works of art found in the parish are from the nineteenth century.
