From an architectural point of view, the Church of San Michele Arcangelo in Longi has a very simple external structure, built with poor materials such as stone, mortar and terracotta. The peculiarity, however, is represented by the fact that it is located in an embankment for which two Sicilian marble stairways have been built to reach the entrance. Another peculiarity is given by the fact that the two sides of the main facade are asymmetrical: the right one, in fact, is characterized by the presence of a fifteenth-century bell tower which has undergone a profound restoration.

Furthermore, a particular mention goes to the entrance portal, an imposing structure built in the XNUMXth century, on which a polychrome stained glass window representing San Michele Arcangelo has been added in recent years. Inside, the church has a typical Latin cross plan, with three naves which are divided by two rows of columns which finally end in an arch with six niches.
