The architecture and works of art of the Mother Church of Casteldaccia

The Parish of Santa Maria Immacolata in Casteldaccia was built towards the end of the eighteenth century, in neoclassical style: the lines of the decorations are simple and elegant; on the main facade we find two distinct orders, the first characterized by a single central wooden door, framed by pilasters and architrave and accessible by a small staircase. Large pilasters, which touch the second order, are instead located on the edge of the main façade, towards the sides of the building. From the second order, the large central window overlooks Piazza Matrice, with the coat of arms of the Longarino family, while laterally we can observe two bell cells, integrated into the facade. The dominant colors are those of white and light brown.

Entering the Church, you can admire various works from the XNUMXth century, such as slate tables, statues of saints and frescoes with a sacred theme, of considerable artistic value.
