The architecture of the Mother Church in Roccapalumba and what it holds

The Mother Church in Roccapalumba is a simple-looking building, characterized inside by a single nave and several chapels.

The Church can be reached along Via Umberto I, the street onto which the building faces directly, without the aid of any stairway; the wooden door, the only entrance on the main facade, is surmounted by the tympanum. In the first tier there are no other decorations, but only a rectangular window. In the second order we find instead a window in correspondence with the door and the quadrant of thecountry clock on the second floor of the bell tower, which flanks the building culminating in the bell cell, from which you can see the bell of the Church, through the single lancet window.

All 'inside the Church it reflects the exterior simplicity, being composed of a single nave with a raised semi-circular apse, separated from the rest of the room simply by an arch. On the sides of the arch there are two balustrades with Baroque decorations. The colors that dominate the interior of the Church are yellow and green, while the facing marbles are polychrome.
