The beautiful Church of San Giuseppe in Nissoria it is a perfectly preserved building, but its history is ancient: the first stone was laid in the mid-eighteenth century and over the centuries, there were many expansion and renovation works that affected this sacred building in the heart of Nissoria.

In 1843, urgent repairs became necessary and on that occasion, the rooms of the Church were also enlarged, which was enriched with two side naves; in 1855 San Giuseppe he was appointed Patron of the country, increasing the importance of this building, erected in his honor many years earlier. Furthermore, towards the end of the XNUMXth century, the bell tower was added, to the construction of which the entire community of believers dedicated themselves, with generous financial donations.

The square overlooked by the Church of San Giuseppe was built in 1891, while the paving of the central nave was built in the first decade of the new century. The Sacristy, as we see it today, was built in 1939, although the bombings of 1943 partially destroyed this ancient building. From the post-war period to 1999, the year in which the Church was finally consecrated, further structural interventions were carried out, such as the new flooring of the naves.
