The aim of the event is first of all to make known to a very large public the characteristic dessert of the Sicilian Christmas holidays, then to attract more visitors to the historic village of Bagheria which has many points of interest. The common objective of all the actors involved is to rediscover the tourist vocation of the area.

What to do during the Buccellato Fest in Bagheria

There are many monuments that can be admired in the center of Bagheriain province of Palermo.

The most representative monument is certainly the Madrice Church, which is dedicated to the Nativity of Mary and was built in 1771 thanks to the money made available by Salvatore Branciforti, prince of the feud. Instead, it is from a few years earlier Church of the Sepulchre which stands out from all the others as it is made in the Gothic style. There Church of the Holy Souls, on the other hand, dates back to 1722. In the XNUMXth century, moreover, many were also built in Bagheria noble residences, almost all in neo-Gothic style. How to get to Bagheria

To take part in the Buccellato Fest in Bagheria it is possible to start from Palermo and take the E90, while those who will move from Catania can follow the A19. From Trapani the reference road involves first taking the A29 and then continuing on the E933 while from Messina it is advisable to choose the A20 and then the E90. The road from Agrigento is very simple, which first includes a section on the SS189 and then takes the SS121 to its destination. From Syracuse we recommend taking the A19 and ending up on the E932 while from Enna you follow the same road recommended from Catania.

Bagheria has its own railway station which is located along the Palermo-Agrigento axis or Messina or Catania. In any case, you can always choose the local bus lines made available by the AST company.
