Fondachello beach

The beach of Venetico Marina borders to the west with the Fondachello beach di Valdina, one of the most popular beaches on the northern coast of Sicily, which meets from Venetico before reaching Milazzo. Here too coast is sandy, but mixed with gravel; the transparent waters change color as the seabed slopes offshore and the offer of services to bathers on the beach is complete, from safety to comfort. At the lido there are bars and restaurants, a free beach, but also equipped establishments.

Beaches along the north coast

From Venetico Marina you can reach many other beaches, both in the direction of Milazzo and towards Messina.

Venetico, things to see a stone's throw from the beach

Venetian Navy and the maritime hamlet of the country of Venetic, which is located about 3 km from the coast, but also extends into the mountains with the hamlet of Venetico Superiore. In addition to the beach, then, the town offers you all the attractions of the historic center: staying on the subject of the sea, the Monumental Fountain of the sixteenth century reproduces the shapes of a mermaid and is located right in front of the Church of San Nicolò, which is the mother church of the village, built in Baroque style in the eighteenth century and one of the main attractions of the village. In the seaside village of Venetico there are two churches to visit, that of the Carmelo of 1883 and that of the Madonna delle Grazie, an example of modern architecture. However, most of Venetico's religious buildings are located in the upper part of the village, such as the Church of the Souls in Purgatory or the Church of Jesus and Mary, of which only the perimeter walls remain today. Going up to the upper hamlet of Venetico, you can also visit the Castle.

How to get to Venetico Marina

Venetico Marina is located along the northern coast of Sicily, in the province of Messina, between Rometta Marea and Milazzo. The marine hamlet can be reached from the town, with a short journey of only 3 km.

Getting to the village is easy, both for travellers by car, and for those who prefer the train.

To get to Venetico from the highway, take the A20 Messina-Buonfornello and take the exit for Rometta Marea, which is located just 5,7 km from the destination; on the train, get off at Milazzo station and continue by bus or private shuttle for the next 10 km to the centre.
