The legend of the Holy Grail passes through Caltabellotta

The legend of the Holy Grail passes through Caltabellotta, as some scholars argue that it is the place where the Holy Grail is potentially hidden.

Does the legend of the Holy Grail pass through Caltabellotta? This is what many are wondering, after having read all the clues which, according to some scholars, would be the most overwhelming proof of the fact that not only is Caltabellotta the city in which the Holy Grail is potentially hidden but it is also the one where gather the forces opposed to the Grail. Here, then, is all there is to find out about the story.

Because the legend of the Holy Grail passes through Caltabellotta

According to the history chronicles of the time, Flanders Guy de Dampierre, knight of King Arthur always in search of the Holy Grail, at the end of his last crusade he decided not to return to his castle but to stop right at Caltabellotta.

From this event the scholars of the sacred cup have drawn only one conclusion, and that is that this locality in the province of Agrigento can in fact be included among those candidates for being the seat in which the Holy Grail it has been hidden so as not to fall into enemy hands.

However, this peculiarity seems not to have escaped even the enemies of the Grail who, after collecting concrete clues to this effect, have gathered here to counter the Forces of Good. At least that's what it says in the Parzival, a writing made in 1216 by Wolfram von Eschenbach which describes in detail all the seats of the enemies of the Grail, also including Caltabellotta itself.

The enemies of the Holy Grail in Caltabellotta

It is Wolfram himself who recounts in his book XIII that the perfidious Klingsor, lord of the Castle of Wonders, had left his palace in Capua and had established a new residence in the castle of Kalot Embolot: if one thinks that the original Arabic name of Caltabellotta was Kalat Al Bellut, i.e. rock in oak, the parallelism is easy to make.

However Wolfram was certainly not the only one to arrive at this conclusion since a few centuries later, namely in 1928, the scholar Johannes Stein, who had been the beloved disciple of Rudolf Steiner, wrote a work stating that all enemies of the Holy Grail found their home in what was known as the Iblis Fortress which was right in the locality of Kalot Embolot.

Iblis, then, is not a random name but it is the name with which the devil is defined in the Koran, hence the conclusion that the Lord of Evil himself, with all his most evil followers, had settled in Caltabellotta for more effectively counter the Force of Good represented by the Holy Grail, evidently hidden in this same area.

The relationship between Hitler and Caltabellotta

Johannes Stein then went further, stating that Parzival actually recounted real historical events, disguised as fantasy, so that many of the characters named in the work actually existed, such as the figure of Klingsor who was none other than Landolfo II of Capua, lord of the place and fervent practitioner of black magic.

Inspired by this story, since he was a lover of Parzival, Hitler in the years preceding the World War II he sent to Caltabellotta Dietrich Eckart, a great expert in occultism, in order to find the Holy Grail since it was considered by the dictator the means by which to appropriate an immense power.

The Forces of Good in Caltabellotta

Fortunately, however, according to legend in Caltabellotta there would also be the forces of good that gather around the Holy Grail and there would be many proofs of this that can be found in different corners of the village.

For example, in Mother Church until 1968 there was a fresco that represented the Holy Grail clasped in the hand of a saint, then destroyed in the violent earthquake of that year. Also in the caves ofhermitage of San Pellegrino of Caltabellotta there are two caves, Good and Evil, and one of the two depicts a woman drinking the blood that flowed from Jesus' side and collected in a cup.

How is it possible to get to Caltabellotta

To get to Caltabellotta and look for traces of the Holy Grail, it is necessary from Palermo and Trapani take the A29 and then continue on SS386 or on SS115.

Who comes from Catania, instead, will use A19 to then continue with the previous state roads.

Caltabellotta is also interested in a service of local busesprovided by the company ATS while as far as trains are concerned, it does not have its own station but you can reach the closest one in Castelvetrano and then continue from there with the bus service.
