The cellar of the Duke of Salaparuta

In Sicily, one of the most popular wine cellars is that of Duca di Salaparuta, a brand that brings together various brands, in particular the oldest Corvo and Duca di Salaparuta, as well as Florio.

When we talk about Duca di Salaparuta we are referring to a corporate group that brings together different realities, in particular three historic Sicilian wineries which are that of Corvo e Duke of Salaparuta, who were born in 1824, and that of The Florio family which instead began its production in 1833.

The cellars were brought together thanks to the activity of the Reina family which over time transformed them into the former Wine-growing group of the island, a reality known not only nationally but also internationally. Since these are such historic brands, the story of the island is also told through the history of their cellars and with every sip of wine you discover a unique flavor that tastes of this land and its sunshine, of the sea that surrounds it and makes it so unique.

The three different labels provide for the estate distribution and of the vineyards located in different areas of the island: this geographical distribution allows you to virtually take a tour of the island with every sip, also because the vineyards give the grapes a different flavour, also based on the type of soil in which they are cultivated, the composition of the soil and the climatic conditions.
